| Christina and brother Ken enjoyed a backpack fishing trip along the Middle Fork of the Salmon River to celebrate his 60th birthday. The itinerary: Day 1: Indian Creek, Day 2: hike to Pistol Creek, Day 3: return to Indian Creek, Day 4: fly downstream to the Flying B Ranch. Day 5: return to MYL by noon. As camp tender, Christina pitched tents along sandy beaches and made meals so Ken got more fishing under his east coast birthday belt. He caught a 12” rainbow first cast. Catarafts, rafts, and kayaks floated by all three days. On flight home, stopped at the Root Ranch. Crossing over Johnson Creek, heard Harrison Ford announce back taxi for departure in his Beaver along with an entourage of 4-5 Husky drivers here for their annual safari. No mistaking the voice of Indiana Jones. Guess who wants to return next September? Paradise to Moose Creek along the Selway River? |
